It has been the quest of human being from time immemorial to capture motions in still pictures. Capturing motion in art has been one of the advances in Animation and it surely played a huge role in the History of 3D Animation. This gave rise to ancient pictures that were drawn on caves. It is often heard that such drawings are associated with civilizations of the past. A Frenchman named Paul Roget invented something known as the thaumatrope, which was a disc with a string attached to both sides. One side of the disc had the drawing of a bird and the other side an empty cage. When the disc was twirled using the strings, the bird appeared as if it was inside the cage. Such early inventions played a pivotal role in the History of 3D Animation.
With the advancement of technology 3D Animation reached its peak thus making the History of 3D Animation even more glorious. The face of Animation has been revolutionized owing to the increasing impact of technology.
Rotating Utah Teapot was an early 3D Animation example. This was not basically a Rotating Utah Teapot but it was basically a Teapot from Boston. Without mentioning this teapot the History of 3D Animation will be incomplete.
